If only our own humaness didn't stand in the way of fully realizing all of this. So we need help to find our way without our child while we are here on this earth. Just stumbled upon this website today as i was looking up what happened on my birthday, January 24 1988. My heart broke to see the loss of such a handsome, nice young man. I'm sure on this special day he is looking down and thanking God for the wonderful life he had. Dustin showed me today to appreciate everyday of life. I feel honored to share the same birthday with him, and I will never forget that!
Its a beautiful day today, just like 20 years ago.

Words simply seem inadequate as I begin to offer my condolences to your family. Dustin is a very handsome young man and is probably up in Heaven getting into mischief with our son, Andrew. It's ironic that Dustin was born on Jan 24, 88...Andrew was born on Jan 26th, 87 and died on July 16th, 2005 following a car accident.
Your site and tribute to your son is both touching and beautiful in so many ways. Please feel free to join the bereavement forum offered by last-memories. You will meet so many kind, compassionate mothers who have experienced this pain that just can't be identified, not unless you've experienced it.
